Delicious and authentic Sri Lankan food!

There were only 2 other tables occupied when we arrived. Service was great! I am not sure what constitutes Sri Lankan food. There were menu items that we have had in Singapore, Bali, Vietnam, etc. I would say it is Southeast Asian. It was all quite delicious. We are here for a week, and I am sure we will go again.

Their food was okay and has that original Southeast Asian taste. Too bad our order takes quite sometime to arrived. The waiter also forgot one of our order and didn't say a word about it. Could've given more stars if the service much better as their first impression for us.

Not bad; not great. The food is very mediocre. I ordered the roti, spring rolls, and the pad Thai. The roti was the best part of the meal, but still, I found it doughy and tough. The spring rolls were just spring rolls. The pad Thai was on par with what most people pull off in their home kitchens. Again, it's not bad. In a pinch it'd do but there are better options in the area.

Lunch special is a good deal. Level of spiciness is good. Great for those who loves very spicy food.

Even though they are trying to sell SriLankan food, it is not real SriLankan food. It is very much different from SriLankan food.

There's a reason this restaurant has been around since 2007. Amazing food, simple as that. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. Prices are excellent. Go, you won't be disappointed

Food was lovely.. small and relaxing place.

Delicious and generous servings of authentic Malaysian dishes.

This place used to be good. Not sure what happened? Going downhill fast, ordered the butterfish special: fish was very stale tasting and worsely, the oil it was fried on tasted like it has been reused many times. Another time we ordered chicken wings, we could clearly taste the rancidness of the oil.

Kurumba is a family favourite of ours. We frequently visit and always try new dishes. The food is always excellent and the service is great. The Char Ho Fun is our personal favourite. The prices are a bit on the higher end compared to some of the restaurants in the area, but it's worth every cent. 100% recommend.

Decent asian food. Fun little restaurant

Very dissatisfied experience with their food. Couple dishes we ordered was way too greasy for our liking and the spicy pork dish had a funny odor that we couldn't eat it.I am sorry but I don't know how this place has a good rating.

Delicious Sri Lankan food. We tried their Sri Lankan Chilli (dry curry), Roti Canai and crispy wings. They were all impeccable. Try the dry curry at your own risk as it can be a "tad" spicy. Would definitely return for more Sri Lankan food in the future.

Amazing customer service and great experience for first time trying Sir Lanka cuisine.

Food is very tasty and presented well, choices are good and reasonably priced. Overall good value for money. Furthermore, quality is consistent.

Consistently fantastic Malaysian food. Depending on time, food may take a bit longer, but you can bet that when it does come out, it's piping hot and amazing! We've been here over 5x and had great experiences every time. Sambal fish & eggplant always a hit for us. Staff are friendly and definitely attentive. It's OK to bring kids here too.

Devastatingly disappointing. Growing up in south east Asia has given me a unique palate. And it’s tough to judge food or judge at all by ignoring or putting aside an integral aspect of yourself. That said, why compromise? Why view things in an artificial neutral vacuum devoid of salt, spice or life? Kurumba is a let down from start to finish. Incredibly ambitious dishes with lacklustre execution. It’s as if someone described chilli prawns over the phone to a translator who then decided to mime the dish recipe over to the chef via teleconference. Will not go back again. You’re better off eating at the amazing bastions of Asian cuisine in Vancouver and Richmond.

Great SE Asian food with good service. Lots of flavor too.

Good food, but my dish wasn't as hot (temperature)as I would have liked it

Went here for lunch with my gf and the kids. I ordered the pad thai for my two kids but my son didn't end up wanting it so my 20 months old had some and when I went to taste the pad thai it was soooooo salty! We could smell the fish sauce. We barely ate it and when I told the waitress lady that the pad thai is very salty she said it's like that. I had many pad thai before and it's not salty like that! It wasn't even sweet it was just salty that you only taste the fish sauce. She told me customers like it that salty! Really?! We end up paying for the pad thai that we barely ate. Never going back here cuz they didn't even offer to make another one or take it off the bill. Terrible! I grew up working in a restaurant and that is horrible customer service!

The food is very delicious and very fairly priced, especially with rising food costs in Vancouver. The staff are always super friendly and always ready to make your night a great one. One of my family's go to spots for a good dinner out.

The roti canai is the best in Vancouver so far. It is very similar to the taste in Malaysia

Roti was delicious! Also had the Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak. Perfect amount of spiciness that enhanced the tastiness. Nice south asian restaurant. Would come back for sure to try more dishes!

Friendly staff, delicious, savory dishes.

Staff is very friendly however the food slightly disappoints. While it is well priced for the portion, the flavors are generic. Suitable for a quick bite.

Very delicious food here and well sized portions. Highly recommend giving this place a try, it is a gem. The Sri Lankan fried rice is really good and the staff are really nice. Can't wait to good try more food from them! They're open for take out still!

best hokkien mee ever.

Wow the portions are HUGE! These are good: beef rendang, prawn omelette, spicy tofu, seafood hor fan, nasi lemak, fried chicken wings, fried prawns, roti prata! Nasi goreng was too wet...the rest were good!

Nice decor, clean, flavorful food. Nice little restaurant. Definitely coming back again.

The Kothu Roti and Chilli Fish are both amazing

Had the calamari, roti beef, ginger beef, and Szechuan green beans. Very delicious. Previously had the pad Thai, which wasn't to my taste for pad Thai but a very generous portion.

5 stars for delicious food. However the wait time after ordering food is very long compared to other restaurants. Other than that, this place is amazing.

Best Srilankan food you’ll ever eat. Could be spicy for some people but it’s delicious.
Bhagya Karu
Delicious foods and excellent service. They have the best pork curry in Vancouver. If you like spicy Asian and Sri Lankan foods, this is one of the best restaurants in the city.

Have been enjoying Kurumba for a number of years now. We lived in Sri Lanka for a year and I really missed the food. I heard about Kurumba and have NEVER been disappointed. The Sri Lankan beef curry and Sri Lankan chilli prawns along with vegetarian curry are our favourites. Wonderful, friendly Chef and staff. A real treasure.

Good curries and meat dishes, they were flavourful and particularly great if you're a fan of spice. The condiments on the table were a good complement. I'd skip any of the noodle dishes... Our table had 5 different ones and only one would we want to try again. The lunch specials are pretty decent value. Also had the fried fish special and enjoyed that as well. Shared the Kurumba Platter and all the appys except the bbq pork were delicious.Would have given 4 stars but the service was abysmal. We were a big party but the server didn't even seem like she was trying. We had stacks of plates all over our table and she didn't bother to clear any unless we handed it to her. She also had like half inch long nails...which kind of grosses me out on a cleanliness factor.

Good service, excellent choices in the menu (specially when you're in spicy food). Yes, parking is free. Reasonable price for the size/portion of orders.
